The year 2006 part1
Now the christmasy bits are more or less over, waiting for the year to change.
This year was not the most dramatic of sorts, I would say, but there were some events indeed.
January: Quite a lot of snowing, and that wasn't pleasant at all. Things were not working as planned. Even my Powerbook clashed and was sent for repairment. Redescovered Morrissey, listening to his music all the time.
February: Had my birthdaty, confirming that I took another firm step towards mortality. Gave a talk at my alma mata, was rather happy about that.
March: Did a workshop with some of my friends, was quite nice. Hope we can organize another one like this soon.
April: Got a paper accepted by a Journal after a long wait, felt relieved. Got my first research funding since I came back. Felt like things finally started to happen.
May: Went to Hiroshima to attend a memorial (17 years) of my deceased grand father. Realized again that people, including myself, became old and not getting any younger.
June: Really disappointed with the display of Japan in the World cup. Wrote a review article for a Japanese monthly medical magazine.
...to be continued.
